Title

A Comparison of Relief and Rehabilitation in the 1940s and Current Social Justice Programs at Haverford College

Description

The goal of this project is to analyze the changes in humanitarian thought and practice at Haverford. Through observing the mission statements, course syllabi, papers, assignments, and projects of Relief and Rehabilitation, the Peace, Justice, and Human Rights Concentration, the Humanitarian in Theory and Practice course, and the objectives of the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship, we are striving to see how the various approaches towards humanitarian relief and social justice have evolved according to historical context, and which program is most effective for instigating positive change.
